    Start saving power now, PM urges public and business

    Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra yesterday admitted there is a risk of blackouts in some areas of Bangkok and the South on April 5 - the expected peak date for electricity usage - and called on all households and businesses to save energy now, to ensure there is reserve power for use on that date.

    Maybe you could turn off all your appliances at the mains?
    I hear this "Saves" a bit of power.
    Just sayin...

    My GF keeps turning the TV off at the main switch on the TV. Use to bug the hell outta me when i was on crutches and plonked myself down on the lounge and pick up the remote and nothing...grr.
    If away for a more than a few days i turn off most things but leave a single globe light attached to a timer on to keep the "pee" away while we`re gone
