You Aussies are soooo lucky... I'm happy if I find a flight for 500 (AUS$760) to LOS from the UK! And travelling to NZ in a few weeks there was hardly anything under 1000 (AUS$1500)

How many hours is it from UK to BKK for you? Do you guys have low cost airlines like Air Asia or similar over there?

No low cost airlines flying to LOS. Is about 15 to 17 hours air travel. UK to BKK.

That really does suck, makes it a lot harder for you guys. We never used to have the low ocst airlines, so it might happen over there soon enough.

Trouble is AirAsia flies from South London. And I live 5 hours to the north. I fly from Manchester which is about an hour and a half from me. If I still lived down south I'd consider it!

G4 be carefull, the reason it stops on the 20th Sep is the school holidays start. All fares will be non discount. I'm trying to get to Newcastle on the 23 Sep for my nan's 100th b'day and the fares are expensive, compared to normal advance purchase.
