787 Dreamliner flown like fighter jet at Farnborough Air Show

Similar display to 2012 airshow. Even if you have seen it before, skip to 4.20, for the touch and go.

We have come along way considering the first powered flight was in 1903 just a little over a hundred years. What will it be like in another century?

I still like the idea of 1 hour straight up , wait for the world to turn around, 1 hour straight down.... 2 hours or less to get basically get anywhere. ....... 5555

Nice idea but for that to work you would have to be able to make the Earth rotate in different directions or you would only be able to go to places that were directly beneath your orbit and you can't make the Earth change direction coz everyone would fall over, oh and maybe a few buildings as well. 5555

^^ ohh yeah thats a point... straight up was just a figure of speech, can't we add in a few trajectories into the equation so we can come back down in different areas of the globe ?

Wait let me grab a apple and a pen ...5555

reminds me of a favourite song of mine......

Standing tough under stars and stripes
    We can tell
    This dream's in sight
    You've got to admit it
At this point in time that it's clear
    The future looks bright
On that train all graphite and glitter
    Undersea by rail
Ninety minutes from new york to paris
    Well by seventy-six we'll be a.o.k.

What a beautiful world this will be
What a glorious time to be free

    The take-off is unbelievable.

It never feels that steep a climb when you're onboard, but obviously that's why they want everybody sitting in their seats with belts fastened, at take-off

Interesting interview, cut short……. is it just muckraking by Al Jazeera, or is there an issue?

Interview: The Boeing 787 programme manager - Al Jazeera Investigates - the Boeing 787 - Al Jazeera English
