    Plane food

I am not sure if its just my bad luck but, on a few return visits back from LOS, i have arrived back in Australia feeling Ill.

This happened on my last trip (flew Emirates) where myself and daughter where very ill on our return to Aus. Diarrhea lasted many days and afterwards the doctor requested a stool sample from both of us, found we had intestinal parasites. My guess is it was from the food on the plane as we had no symptoms prior, and consumed food prior to boarding was a different selected breakfast at our hotel the morning of.

I have had no problem eating plane food out of Sydney to Thailand. I gather food health and safety regulations differ from country to country.

Can't say I've ever had an issue , many different carriers over the course of 20 odd years flying in and out of Thailand , you may have just been unlucky

Like Stillearly, I've never had a problem with airline food, and I've flown every year for over 20 years. And, I always eat everything they serve. Even with Thai restaurants I've seldom had Diarrhea... maybe once every two or three years and it's never very bad. In some cases I'm happy because it helps clean out my system.

Airline food ex BKK (suvarnabhumi), including Thai and Emirates, is always crap though I've never been ill. I have left 90% of a breakfast untouched ... Danone yoghurt was ok! 55

SkyChefs or whoever does major catering is obviously poorly run and 1st time ever I noticed the use-by-date labels on TG food containers ... I thought it odd as always assumed the meals were prepared daily.

Conversely, AirAsia food has improved over recent years to the point one can really look forward to the meal selected (and paid for) and ~ Aud$7 isn't a big ask for the quality they provide.
    Cheers, Rob.

One of the reasons I fly with Air Asia is the food,

Ao and Nut basically have a banquet when we fly AA! 555

But just like the airlines in North America I much prefer buying good quality food than the free crap they used to give you

The food to buy on airlines here is pretty frigging good

If I am flying long haul to Asia in economy I usually bring snacks like hummus and pretzels in case I don't like the food

Then have a bowl of noodles during my connection

One time I flew through Hong Kong and really wanted noodles but everywhere was packed so said fuxk it and got a Whopper at BK at 7am

As I am sinking my mouth into it I hear someone calling my name

It was Ao's doctor here. I must have looked like a fat fuxk eating BK at 7am 5555

Screw eating in the first place. Just stick to piss and you'll be fine. Red wine and Valium is the magic combo.

Most airlines i have traveled with, the waitresses get annoyed if piss i requested too often apart from the courtesy drinks they hand out after meals

One trip coming back I had bought 500 valiums and a box of kamagra. As I entered the airport in Phuket and realized I was flying through Singapore and a flashback of the death penalty notice in sing airport for controlled substances I frantically began searching for a bin. Threw it all out. Forgot to take one for the flight home though. Would have made a fortune at home.

One of my mates owed me 300 euro and tonight dropped up with what I thought was going to be cash. Instead he gave me 250 viagra tablets and 200 xanex. Like what the fcuk am I going to do with that. 5555

Never experienced that. Also, the cart is usually parked at the back and are more than happy to chat and give out drinks.

Little tip I always use is as I am getting on the plane I request the halal meal. Usually no difference but get served first. They do get confused when I ask for a Heineken with it though.

The trick is to hit them up on both ends. When I've completely worked one side, I pretend to head to the toilet to the other end and then ask for a glass while there. Or keep an eye on shift changes from one end to the other and start again.

You would have been fine with 10 or so Valiums no? Such a waste

Air France is the best airline food I ever ate, Thai airways is good, better then qantas. Nok air was crap, so is the Air Asia meals I've had, air asia also had a dodgy sounding engine on one trip.

    I avoid drinking on flight.

I know 100%. Just had images of being on banged up abroad. I never trust foreign airports and have heard some horror stories.

Case in point the English woman who ended up in jail for having a glass of wine on a flight before disembarking in UAE.

TG ex BNE food is great. AirAsiaX used to be poor up until a year or 2 back so unless you've flown recently I'd disagree with you there. How does a dodgy sounding engine affect the food? 55

That would test any man's patience. I had to endure one lot on the way to Samui a few weeks ago. Big, beefy fecks too. Every one of whom had clearly been skipping leg day. You can't skip leg day bruv!

I copped that once on a Thai Air flight . They served the Minority, Muslim c@nts (Pakies?) their Halal Food and made the rest of the Majority wait while they took their time looking after the Muslims .
Why the special treatment for the minority passengers ?. If your not willing to Eat what ever the rest of the planes passengers have , you can bloody well wait .
    That is True Racism .

Well I call that unfair . Why should the Majority wait for the 'Special people" . Surely Pete you can see the sense in that . Try not using your left brain for a moment .
