DMK to Pattaya - Cheapest Taxi

I am travelling to Patta again in July, recently I have been flying to U-Tapao, but this time I fly to Don Muang so a pain in the ass compared to even awampy.

So far the chapast I have got so far is Bt1400, which is probably a good deal, but just asking?

I may even take the bus there, just never done it before so nervious.
    Cheers

    Scottie

Bus to Pattaya out of Mochit is pretty easy. I think that comes out around 100 - 120 baht and drops you off at the north bus station in Pattaya. Should take about a few hours to get there and leaves every 30 mins.

Taxi from Don Muang to Mochit bus terminal should be around 200 - 300 baht (but I've never done it so I'm not firm on the price). Plus no idea how long that will take depending on traffic maybe 30-40 minutes.

Taxi for 1400 baht is a good deal if you don't want the hassle of hauling all your gear around and changing transport, plus you'd still have to get a taxi from the Pattaya North Bus Station and they try it on with tourist prices.

I think Rockitt took the train for about 30 baht. Took less than a week.

I refuse to go to DMK anymore if I am on my way to Pattaya or vice versa, took 4 hours once and nearly missed my flight. These days I am rediscovering the delights of Bangkok, I would recommend at least 1 night in Bangkok before heading to Pattaya. I've done the trip to Mo Chit in the past, it's not that difficult.

If you do a night in Bangkok there's another bus to Pattaya that leaves out of the bus terminal near Ekkamai BTS station which is probably faster than having to leave out of Mochit if you are staying anywhere near Nana or Asok.

I'd rather kick myself in the balls than do this after a flight

Sorry I know this isn't a helpful post but I honestly would rather kick myself in the balls

Concur, it would be quite an ordeal in one go after a long flight, better to break it up. Taxi fare of 1400 Bt is a good price, can snooze on the way to Pattaya if you take that route, I recon going to U-Tapoa would be the best option, I wouldn't fly with the Lion group anyway.

I could do it for you for a small fee 55555

Just get a taxi or Mr T or one of several other mobs that are recomended on PA. Never catch a bus in Thailand, sorry the baht bus is a good deal.
