^ I don't think any of those girls work in Billabong anymore...its definitely the most popular girlie bar in Lamai

Lamai certainly has picked up since Bacwaan Tours started, I will need to have a better look around down there, I always call Chaweng home when in Samui.

    Keep the pictures coming Jimbob

bunch of gals in there were busted by the cops...the ones who dance on the pole all night....I'll let you guess why

Patti hasn't been seen for quite a while so I doubt whether you will see her on your upcoming trip Mr Meese

Thanks for the pictures JB. I enjoyed Lamai and would like to go back there sometime. I was surprised at the number of bars in the area. Great place.

There's a good atmosphere in the bar areas of Lamai. Much more relaxed and I found the girls very happy to just sit and talk without putting on any pressure to buy drinks etc. Annie

Ha ha yes petegill i sat next to a bloke in there who informes as he near enough lives there now he could spot a ladyboy from 100 yards. I said yes pointing out the one in front of the last 2 pics. He assured me it wasnt and asked 1 off the girls he knows who confirmed my statment. He spend a goood 10 minutes shaking my hand and shaking his head. they have always employed a good few ladyboys i have a good laugh with 1 or 2 of them teasing them when they get barfind ect.

Yes mainly the attitude is preety good in Lamai not hardened as some in Pattaya and not so money grabbing as Phuket, I know there are all types of people in all resorts but just how i find a lot of them.
Samui is the only place in Thailand that i hire a moped as the roads are not busy and i feel safer there, Ive had some great days just riding around exploring loads of hiden gems Im sure there are many more for me to find.

I agree. I kept telling myself that this is probably what Patong was like in the 90's... when everyone says it was great... 555
