    TGs trip to 1080ville 2013

Ok, so only a couple of days to the big event ( for me at least ) does anybody want me to compile a running report of my TGs trip to Aus ?

Pom will be here come high noon on Monday and I will ask her if she would like to forward her views on this forum, her English is quite acceptable and anyway the practice will be good for her.

Unlike many of you who live in a City, with all that entails, I live in the bush so things may get a little boring at times and for those with Thai wives or GFs in Australia a chance for them to offer advice to a visitor from home if they would like to.

Remembering that this is her second trip to my home and that I have known her for almost 5 years.

I hope we can see a few pics of a TG riding motorbikes, putting up fences, shooting jing joes and the rest of farm life, I dont think weve had a pic of a TG on a horse, not sure if you have one though 555

I would love to hear about it 1080. Especially as to how she fits in and integrates with the locals.

Hope it all goes well Ted but keep her away from any horses, you wouldn't want a TG to get saddle-sore! &&&
    Cheers, Rob.

    And some waiting music.

    Riding on the chuck wagon,
    Following my man.
    His name is Ted,
    Can you believe that?

    Camping on the prairie
    Plays havoc with my hair.
    Makes me feel quite dirty,
    Though we all do sometimes

Long story short..... I met her on my first trip to Phuket and have stayed in contact since, she mostly enjoyed her previous stay here but she did miss her daughter a lot. Her family had debts to pay off so Pom had to make the big money, sure you all know that story, and I was not in a position to bail her out so we just stayed friends, she did what she had to do and I continued enjoying all LoS had to offer.

We were born on the same day, 19 years apart, and can both be pretty stubborn, Sagittarians, but we do get along quite well.

Anyway she stoped working over a year ago and I have been helping out with the daughters education etc. We are both in a good space at the moment so we have decided its time to get reacquainted and see where we end up. But now she own lady (35) so yes boys there might be a fair bit of ointment rubbing going on if she gets saddle sore from riding the quad bike, almost forgot, must get massage oil!!

This will give you some idea of the area where I live, about halfway between Unumgar and Sherwood and up the hill a bit...

    Casino doesn't actually have a Casino 555

1080, I have been thru that area many years ago. An old neighbour of mine when I was growing up in Sydney, his father finished up owning a small electrical repair shop in Casino, when I was doing my sales I found him.
He told me my friend Terry, lived up in the hills near Sherwood, there were some phone calls and my girl and i were given a map and off we went to have dinner with them.

I was groomsman at Terry's wedding 40 yrs ago, he married an Asian girl he met at Uni. A lovely girl but a big deal in those days.

    Hi 1080,

I'm in a similar position with a similar age gap, it dosen't seem to worry her. I am hoping to bring her here just after Christmas to let her get the feel for the place. I'm looking forward to her trip report

Pom arrived on time yesterday and looked a picture exiting immigration, she had a good flight with 3 seats to herself on the Thai Airways direct flight, a far cry from her trip with Air Asia back in 2009.

All went very smoothly, she didn't have to open her bag, show her visa notice or any of that stuff, though she was armed for most eventualities.

Home and settled and she is fitting in very well. Shopping today, new work boots and a sensible jacket for outdoors on the farm, a new rice cooker, $13.00, couldn't believe the price and a few extra groceries from the market, all good.

She is lying on the couch in front of the fire, huddled under a blanket watching The Voice at the moment, hope she acclimatises soon cause the house is like an oven at the moment 5555 I have asked her if she would like to contribute to the thread, "maybe, not sure ", so we will see. Anyway its good to have her here.

    Later
