    Europe trip

So look's like we will finally go to Europe next year

Loosely planning France(definite) then fly over to Prague, take the train to Vienna(just because close by train) then fly over to Barcelona/Madrid

But if any of you guys have other suggestions or places close by on train we can see for a day or 2 let me know

    Thanks

well definitely Paris for a couple of days but then somewhere local where her Thai friend lives.......of course she doesn't have a clue 555

I am looking into renting a car in France and driving to Bern, Switzerland and visit Oli, I never met him and would like to see the area and do a nice drive

Take your time , stop off at little towns / villages along the way , very relaxing and great way to see the country and enjoy the food / wine

Only 2 hours from Metz, France so would likely check it out
I like to drive so think I will do this from Metz

and from Prague do Vienna and Budapest then back to Prague

I was going to spend 8 days in Spain but may cut that down so I can see more of the other countries

I would include a trip to Nice, (By plane, or TGV) from there you can see Monaco Monte Carlo, & Cannes over a couple of days. (Even Juan Lapine), where you get an even suntan...etc).
And where the hell was Biggles.....?....when you needed him last Saturday....?

I need to retire......too many places in the world to see 555

We will fly into Paris and fly back from either Barcelona or Madrid.
A few days in Paris and a few days in Metz. Then either a day trip to Heidelberg or an overnighter.....it is only a 2 hour drive.

We will then fly to Prague for a couple of days. My wife's main desire. From there drive to Vienna and Budapest.

    After that fly to Spain

Still up for driveable/trainable destinations for one or 2 more places near those

I'd do the Vienna-Prague-Budapest triangle by train....these are big cities with large outskirts and the main attractions being in the central old quarters of town where driving around is a total pain in the arse at best or a no go at worst....
