I think there are manual lanes as well as scanned lanes

Older Thai passports may not be digital, thus they would need to cater for both. Not sure.

I forget which airline it was, Qatar or some other one, but I came across a news article about direct flights from London to Bangkok starting later this year. We'll see.

They flew to uk (Stansted) quite a few years ago. I went with them once
Flew Perth to KL, then onto UK. Had no probs wirh them at all
