^ That's amazing...I met Bill way back in the early 90's...so I guess he was about 60 then...he was good mates with my dive instructor Claes who had a dive shop in Jomthien and was taking me through my training to become a dive instructor at the time...
Bill was a character even back then...loads of stories about Vietnam, diving and living in Thailand....a group of us used to go to Buffalo Bar, a strange kinda bar come coyote joint up the back of Pattaya near Soi Bong Koch...he had everyone enthralled with his stories and enthusiasm for life in Thailand and was much revered in the dive industry of Patts...and all the gals in that joint knew him and loved him...
So happy to see he is still a live...what a legend

Not Thailand...Vietnam...but I liked this guy's story and attitude to life....glad to see him so happy after what sounds like a few miserable years...

Hell of a nice guy. He's found his place, and Vietnam is amazing. I loved it in the boonies. In places like Dong Hoi people are constantly trying to invite you to come have dinner in their home.

But in all my visits to Vietnam I've never found them to have that playful spirit that Thais do

Yeah well, vastly different cultures and histories. They're far more wordly, educated and serious. Vietnam's GDP is only trailing behind Thailand now. I don't know when exactly, but I'll bet you my pinky Vietnam will double and then triple Thailand's GDP in our lifetime. I love the Thai spirit too, but it can be a bit of a handicap at the same time.

Okay not exactly a Thailand vlogger but I thought this chap was interesting, talks about doing a retirement loop without ever needing visas , just the entry stamps from each country .... he does try and push his channel membership towards the end , but I still found it a worthwhile watch
