It's way more intimidating in Asia. I zip down the freeway on my Kawasaki at home, but I'm still not 100% confident on a scooter in Thailand 55.
I'm the opposite, well for Thailand. I feel much safer riding in LOS than Perth. The traffic flows better and people look out for bikes more.

Philippines not so much.

Hiring my first ride on a bike was an ice breaker for me. I’ve never had the confidence to do it before, but I really enjoyed it and found it quite easy.
I am not about to go hiring in Bkk and go blasting down Sukhumvit yet, and I will hold off ordering a new Harley when I get home555.
Baby steps I think.
Bangkok's not as bad as it looks, take the challenge. I drove a car first time in BKK a few months ago, was a breeze and a car is harder than a bike IMO.

Don't get to many ideas when you get to DUP, slim pickings now. Kate would be your best choice now and she has a vespa so you have transport.....55
Not gone there much the last few trips, just pop my head in for a quick look see. However may just go to have a look at the Vespa 5555
More likely to go to UN Irish for sport and a few of the music bars otherwise with the odd visit to the shed and Tiny World :D
