MIL chronicles

OK... you know it can be dangerous for dogs? Raw meat, raw fish etc... our vet reminded us more than once when our dog had a few issues...

And I presume you know about chocolate...
Raw meat diets are the healthiest diets you can feed a dog, although very expensive

I'm not concerned giving Quin sushi occasionally in small quantities from busy Sushi place I know

Vets are morons and scams and I base zero of my decisions on anything they say

Yeah she wants to see snow

Here a month, bemoans there hasn't been no snow......

Snows a ton, gorgeous sunny day

Ok, I will drive up the mountain so she can see snow

Nope..... she says too cold!

I didn't snap at my MIL but I sort of snapped at her ridiculousness

As I said before, she is sick or has a different ailment every day

She's always been like that since I met her

But she is a child sometimes

She can't eat spicy food. Hurts her stomach
Has for 10+ years

What does she do? Eat spicy food then complains all day the next day

It's not the case like when I eat crap food or something I know I shouldn't

She walks around the house holding her stomach

3 nights ago our friend made a really spicy Som Tum
Everyone comments how spicy it is

She eats it, I comment she will "hurt stomach tomorrow " and wow....her stomach hurt!

Last night my wife orders spicy wings from Korean place
I said she shouldn't eat those, they will hurt her stomach

Today my wife says
"My mom hurt her stomach so bad, says she wants to go home"

I don't have patience for nonsense
So I definitely firmly said "what would going home do? You know the problem, stop eating spicy food. It's not a mystery "

Telling a Thai to stop eating spicey food is like telling us not to breathe....
I'd love to have 10 baht for every time I heard a Thai say "mai phet mai aroi"...55
Of course

But when you are walking around crying the next day acting like you are dying......

Could have said, what airline would you like me to book the ticket with
Haha

Still very much enjoying her here and more importantly, my wife is still a very happy girl

She is a good women and actually has s great sense of humor, so we have a lot of laughter

I'm sure my MIL is bitching about me to someone somewhere. 😀

^ I'm still blown away at how much she is drinking here

I said before the # of drinks I had seen her have in 20 years is under 10

The other night at our friends she drank 1 1/2 bottles of wine

She is also a very reserved person
Hell half the times she doesn't talk around her own family

Yet she's been very social and outgoing with our friends here

Maybe she feels she has to be more reserved in Thailand

It really is astonishing to me.....

I was kidding, but I think you know that. :ROFLMAO:

My in-laws just left CM, was really good to see them its been almost 2 years.
Uncomfortably the trip was cut sort we only had 3 days with them. FIL has surgery in Bangkok to go too.
Think the wife is a bit concerned, not much bothers her but I can tell. she is worried

You say "cut short "

They both have been going to Bangkok regally for health stuff and FIL has some prostate issues. They spent a few weeks in Bangkok and planned coming to CM to spend a week or so with us. They are also looking at relocation to Thailand.

Doc said they wanted the FIL back for surgery today so trip was cut short.

Thinking may book some flights and we all go to Bangkok and surprise them.

Is that quite common for Philippine people to use Thai hospitals?

I wouldn't say common as its cheaper in the Phils but some certainly do.. Hospitals in the Philippines are not too good. All the good staff leave and work overseas.

I wouldn't feel comfortable going to hospital in the Phils for anything besides a Band-Aid.

FIL insurance pays, they also pay for the MIL to fly and be with him. He had his knees done a few years back in BBK, insurance paid for it.

Just updated that my stepson is a moron....

My MIL is not

6 weeks in and I really have no complaints
Which I didn't think I would

If she doesn't go to work with Ao she hibernates in her room

But she has a great sense of humor
She loves Quincy

There really isn't a time that I prefer she not come out with us
If she decides on her own she wants to stay home, it's nice to just go out with my wife
But anytime she wants to join us, it's welcomed

She has zero situational awareness though 5555

She will walk out and turn on the blender if I am in the middle of a work call....

But if that's my only complaint, I'm okay with that
