I saw a lot more families and regular tourists this year. It's certainly a changing landscape.

That Space hotel thing they've built is basically marketed entirely to families and kids with their indoor waterpark, activities, etc, and capacity is high. Constantly booked out too.

Times are a changing.

I think it is. A friend (yeah I know) told me even the Penthouse hotel had closed.

I was last there end of November 2022 and begining of the year 2022 with the same friend from the US. Pattaya has always been a family or normal tourist destination and a bar scene. Jomtien especially. Unless you walk Soi 6 or the walking street at night it is more or less sort of a normal touristy place. Jomtien especially. I really like to go to Pattaya fro a couple of days and don't have any negative thing to say. It has everything you need as in a getaway, and girls don't have to be aprt of the program, just an added bonus.

I always refer to Pattya as Sodom and Gomorrah by the sea. I agree, everyone should visit Pattaya once or twice and make up their own minds. I personally always liked it.

But yes people should go to see it at least once, especially if they are interested in the girlie scene

I am ok with it. With the family in Bangkok sometimes we go to Jomtien. It’s close and doable for a fast quickee, er, em, I mean for a get away trip and food on the beach.

My wife and I are massive Dusit Thani fans.............we absolutely love their hotels

So if we are in the area, we sometimes stop and stay at Dusit Thani Pattaya but we usually just stay in hotel or right around the hotel vicinity
