National —
Thai investors are set to launch five new airlines, pouring in a minimum of 3.85 billion baht. These carriers are poised to commence operations in 2024, aiming to tap into Thailand’s burgeoning aviation market, projected to be worth 320 billion baht next year.

I find it rather odd that one of the newbs is being formed by the ex CEO of NokAir which is still making a loss. If he couldn't turn a profit at Nok how's the new venture going to survive? Incumbents like AirAsia and Vietjet will give them a hard time. Should be good for us travelers though.

AA's name is mud, and Vietjet didn't impress me when I tried to book a flight with them from Cambodia, so I went with Bangkok Airways.

I log into Bangkok Airways, and there is literally no place where I can pull up my bookings without knowing the booking numbers, even though I've booked three separate flights with them directly through my account.

They've all got problems. All it takes is someone to come along and not even do things well, but slightly better than this lot and you could easily have a winner.
