New Thai Digital Arrival Card.

Although no official date has yet been announced for the commencement of the TDAC, it's widely expected to start from May 1st 2025.

The website for applying now appears to be operational.

All foreigner nationals are required to complete the form, regardless of Immigration status, except those transiting through Thailand and those entering with a Border Pass. Click on the "user guide" for full details and requirements, and scroll down to the bottom to watch a video guide.

I can't remember Malaysia needing arrival cards before. Not digital anyway.

Went through immi and saw a whole heap of people in line, then saw the side gate with exempted passports. Very quick, but when I scanned I got red. Guard said you done arrival and I said nah. He said go scan that barcode on the wall.

The form was a bit fucked, obviously programmed by Indians. I know.

The date field you click into brings up an old nasty drag and drop calendar that cheap, lazy coders use. Hard to navigate and if you miss click it won't come up again. You need to click into another field and come back into it.

My second problem was the state, "city"(you're not in KL) and postcode fields. Lucky the nice guard was there.

Then it kept saying my emails didn't match which they did. I was forced to restart the whole form again, but finally submitted. Scanned my passport again and bingo!

There were also 3 computers available with 50 people sat in front of them waiting to do their arrival. Not sure if morons or no phones or what their story is.

Anyway, thought I'd share this as I imagine Thailand would be a similar experience. In terms of how it'd work if entering and unaware. I didn't test the form, but I imagine it'd work better.

Even with the broken process I still prefer it to the Fred Flintstone cards we still have to fill out going back home.

Singapore and Malaysia are now via apps. Thailand soon.
I really rather not have to install another app.

I'd prefer filling out online prior(which is definitely an option), or just put QRs up on the walls on the way to arrival hall.

Feel sorry for the poor buggers without phones...

I haven't travelled since 2017... do you still get a free BJ on Emirates? Or is that business class only now?
