Pattaya Hotel suggestions

Stayed at Cape Dara over the weekend. The hotel is in between Pattaya and Wong Amat beach. Think it opened after Covid, so is relatively new. I quite like it, great staff, pool, and views from the room are great. It's a bit out of the way, but the hotel offers a regular shuttle service to Dolphin round about, where you can walk to beach road from there, or grab a songtheaw.

The only grumble from the gf was it's full of Chinese tourists, but so are most half decent joins in Thailand tbf. Next time I come I'll probably try Hilton or something else more central.

They've got two pools, both really nice. Breakfast was great, usual mix of western and eastern, plus the patong ko, which I've unfortunately now come to enjoy too often.

Security is also good. Last night I wanted to go down to the beach to try a joint i picked up but the beach was closed. Ended up smoking out front of the hotel and the security guard told me he could get it for cheaper. 555 Left him half of it as I couldn't finish it.

Nice looking hotel

I hate Pattaya but we've stopped and stayed at Dusit Thani in Pattaya and we love it
On the opposite end of Beach Rd from Walking Street

When looking for a hotel in Thailand I always read TA and Google reviews to make sure it's not a hotel that has many Chinese or Muslims

May sound racist but I can't stand the way Chinese behave in Thailand and we've had some issues with Muslims when staying at Amari on Soi 5 and one time at a hotel on Soi 4

Just my preference

Kid you not as soon as checked into our hotel in Bangkok we saw the same group of Chinese tourists who had just checked out of the Pattaya hotel. 555 This was just after my gf commented this is nice and quiet.

Theres a new Grande Centre point opened up opposite terminal 21. Space themed.

Both my wife and I stayed the older Grande Centre Point Terminal 21for our Test & Go

I found it a bit cold and the beds really uncomfortable

Looking at possibly staying at the one on Soi 55 next month because my stepson want stay in Thonglor

Seems a bit more luxurious

Congrats on the engagement!

Thank you.

GCP suk 55 was our original choice, but we went with Ascott as it's supposed to be newer. That one does look really nice though.
