I had my first trip to Jomtien as part of a bar crawl with the Buzzin crew back in December. 300 baht. Includes transport and a shot in each venue.

We stopped at a nice house down an alley with a couple of security guards outside. You'd never think it was a gents club. Had a pool with naked birds running around. Good fun. Never knew these places existed. Trouble is everything is really spaced out and it's normally too clicky with all these miserable expat fucks, but great when on a crawl with a bunch of lads.
Quite a few gent's clubs down Jomtien way, Kinnaree Place probably the best.

That is what i mean about Pattaya, compared to my early visits the quality is defiantly lower. Some bar owners blame the lack of good looking girls available. Which is not a bad thing if it means that girls are moving away from the bar scene. But I suspect the lookers are either in the high end ago go's or working through dating sites.
That is not to say that there are no pretty ladies, some bars and Gent's Clubs seem to do better. But the days of seeing gorgeous ladies at every bar do seem to be over. And that comes from an old fart who is far less fussy than he was 15 years ago 555

Having said all that I still had some good evenings, I just had to fin places with the right sort of vibe. The music abr for instance, the band was good and the lady who sat with me was good company if not the most beautiful woman around. But I did not bother to go back.
I don't think a guy, especially older who doesn't need "stunners" ,could go wrong with a stay in Ao Nang

I would say that small soi had more pretty girls last night than Patong

And I am one of the more picky guys

Plus plenty of cute girls

No pressure for drinks

Did you guys hear about this dude?

He claims he lost the plot cause he was high on weed, but the drug tests proved otherwise. It was ice. Which explains how he managed to throw a fridge off the balcony 😦

Lol, saw that on the Old Whingers and Moaners Negativity site ASEAN Now. You can hear a couple of guys telling him to jump.
There was also a clip of some foreigner getting a hiding for allegedly not paying his bill. Who knows why it happened though.

Yeah there's always another another story there. The vid says he got paranoid and thought his room was bugged.

Personally I would have hid the microphone at the back of the fridge too, thinking it'd be too big and heavy to throw off the balcony. I would have been wrong though.

Speaking of whiners

There is an expat on another forum saying it's "insulting " that TAT (Thai tourism board) is running a contest for Thais to promote domestic tourism

I swear 90% of Thai expats are insecure children that need to be petted

Pattaya is just a mecca for the unstable , like it or not its the harsh truth . I wont deride Pattaya goers as i was firmly one .

Patong seems to have the more narcistic westerner .

I love it.

As the world becomes more awashed in robots and cowards, reality is reduced in equal measure. The crazy fucks are a public service.
I quite like the odd crazy fuck too. The Italian guy trying to throw his refrigerator over the balcony has an amusing and interesting side to him. However getting drunk and bottling an old guy is a little beyond what i would call doing a public service.

I see he was in Tahitan Queen, it seems that I missed the event by just a couple of months 5555 I think I mentioned earlier on this thread that I popped in there in late Feb. I was just walking past on my afternoon stroll and thought i should stop for a beer. It was packed. I always have liked the music there as they play 80's and 70's rock almost exclusivity;y

Yeah well, clearly not nice. People shouldn't be doing that 555. Not what I meant though.

Good for a little daytime fun. Especially after lunch. Kill an hour or two and go for a siesta.

Last week in Pattaya I was visiting an old Army friend of mine and we had a couple of beers just up from the Tahitian Queen.
