I would just suggest you go to CM........No rust issues
Corrosion in Phuket is outta control.
My mostly plastic and rubber MX boots I bought in Oz fell to pieces before I really got to use them.
Corrosion all over alloy casings and forks on bikes too.

Ever heard of "Marcos gold'. Some interesting info on Google.
That story has been debunked so many times. Is that the reason why people support jnr now...because his father said it will be shared amongst the people.
The amount of gold they were talking about are more than what the US has.
It was just a way for snr and emelda to deflect questions away from their thieving.

I once read if it was shared amongst the people it would bring the country out of poverty, something like 75k USD per person.

But I cannot imagine someone so corrupt giving it back.

The people would have to be made to vote for anyone that is in this family but they are not the smartest bunch.

Boracay...................(y)

Best location I have staid in the Philippines so far......by a long shot.

Currently to get to Boracay they have there own pass system with QR code, simple to do but I'm sure that may change. You cannot check in to your flight without it and need a return flight, Vax certificate, and hotel booking.

To get to Boracay you land in Caticlan, get transport to the boat terminal, a boat over to the island, then transport to your hotel. Takes about 45min.

At the airport you can buy a package deal that includes all the transport and a guide to help you all the way. We paid 3000p return for two of us.

Just before Covid they shut the island down and cleaned it up, did a great job.

Main roads are good condition and have gardens along the sides.

Not much traffic and the main transport is tuk tuk's that are electric. Standard pricing 100p or 150p depending you drop off points.

I staid at the Fairways and blue water resort got a cracker deal on Agoda. Its a bit out of town but a 150p trip. Also the resort have a free bus service within the resort and into town. The resort has a amazing golf coarse and a private beach with a pool.

That hotel is a bit out of the way but its a golf resort.Hows the area around that mall close to the popular beach areas now?It was muddy and unpaved when i was there...so not good.People are saying it was a good move to close it and restrict numbers like they do now.

The resort location is suitable for those that play golf (not me) and if you like to hang out at the resort and private beach.
But they have a shuttle bus or get a 150p Tuk tuk if you want to go to town. Its only a short trip we did it a few times.

No mud now all paved, very neat and tidy. Almost like a Hamilton island feel in Queensland.

And no rubbish

Visas are so easy in Pi

New changes to the Balikbayan visa .
Those that come in on a Balikbayan Visa as of Sept.1st 2022>> the one year period is now counted as one year of (the 3 year max stay period)

Balikbayan visa = Free, must be married to a Filipina, no paperwork to apply you just tell them you want a Balikbayan visa when going through immigration.

I've been following Marcos for years. He's come a long way since he first went to PI as a lone GI. Rocking up at the airport looking operator as fuck with nothing but the clothes on his back. I think he collects a military pension as well which helps over there.

Seems he's doing well for himself these days with his own chicken coop 55
