Hey Rockitt do you mind letting us know what is the cost for a room per night at the Raming ?

^^
I paid £42 for a night x4. £168 total with breakfast. Not cheap by my resent standards but well worth it when you add it all up. Yes there’s probably better deals out there for the more experienced CM guys but for a newbie it’s ideal.

that's a premium hotel and position. nothing wrong with staying there. looks like you got it for about 1800 baht/night.

my first stay there 10 years ago it was around 850 baht,i think. stayed there a few times and loved it every time.

Stayed there a few times in my earlier trips to CM, I'm sure it was 1500 about 6 or 7 years ago. Hasn't gone up much to todays rates but may have had a jump from 10 years ago.

Anyone stayed in the big rooms with the spa at the top. ? They stuffed my booking once and put me in that room for the first night.

i'm sure when high season comes around they'll be more like 2000 baht. remember it's still rainy/low season now.
maybe it was high season when you stayed there too?

i wouldn't describe Raming as a premium hotel , location is spot on , but it's mid-range place with very basic facilities

Premium mongers hotel?
I think those rooms are great. OK brekky which is included too. Pool a bit ordinary.

Took me ages to find the pool, never expected it to be across the road.

Found the pool without staying there.. 555

Like you, I thought it was separate from any hotel, so just asked how much it was to use the pool...

I didn’t use the pool or even get to see it. I didn’t fancy the walk of shame across the road in my speedos.

Those back soi's are so quiet that you may just have to do the stand of shame just to be seen 555

I still recommend the Raming for a first timer to Chiang Mai, great location and everything is within walking distance.

Once you get to know Chiang Mai there is definitely better value for money places around, for less than half the price.
