Rants

Always room for a good rant thread!

I hate how they play so many commercials now at the movies.
It says movie starts at 6:30pm but doesn't start until 20mins after that!

And North America is so far behind, we still don't have may theatres with reserved seating......So you have to go early to get a good seat.

PS......I have about a billion rants 555

Strangely I don't have many the older I get the more forgiving I become. It's s waste of my energy to get all consumed all the time.
still get annoyed with drivers that invade my law abiding space but I don't rant I avoid....

Oh man......One of my favorite things in the world.
And I like going alone.

I usually grab a good bite to eat, some beers, maybe a toke or two and then see a good movie.

You can get the same quality or experience at home these day so unless it's a big budget Starwars type movie why go?

What Canada doesn't have a website to choose your seating when you are making a booking ? .... that was 5 or more years ago here ..

I never go to the cinema unless i book online ... screw the cues ..

Only problem with reserved seating is its a bit flakely ... and doesn't work well when you rock up, search for your seat only to find at 6.5 foot 120 kg tattooed biker gang member with a patch on his back ....

ummm excuse me, but you are sitting in my seat ... 555

I got yelled at tonight at the start of the movie for having my phone on, quite aggressively, I might add 555
I didn't know having your phone on with no sound was against the rules.
But I could see where the bright screen might bother some so just apologised and shut it off.

I was actually looking up something about the movie real quick

Cinema nowadays is pretty cool, most cinemas have reclining "Lazyboy" type seats as standard with huge "feet space" in front of you... gone are the days of squeezing down rows... and with the huge screen and sound system.. it's worth it now and then... last film I saw was "Arrival" well worth seeing on the big screen...

I went and saw the new Star Wars yesterday and was stressing about missing the start as we were running late. Got there 10 minutes after the session start and ended up sitting through another 15 minutes of ads. So same same with us.

Pretty weird not having seat bookings over there though. Here you book on your phone, pick your seats and just scan the barcode of the phone screen before you go in. Pretty smooth process

One of my pet hates is the folks who try to avoid all the commercials then come sailing in just as the movie is starting, climbing over everyone to get to their seats with a massive load of popcorn and 4.5litre coke...

Anddddd.....why does the cinema always sell sweets double wrapped in really noisy packaging.....??

People really are unforgiving, asking nicely is always better.
After all, that guy in the Batman movie could've left his phone on and then.....ner,vy

Had that about 10 years ago in Bali, hatted it was so confusing and couldn't relax.

Maybe should try it again
I was about to say this. Had a double back in Jan. You got no idea what's going on, and the worst thing is they keep yapping the whole time and it makes the experience worst.

That was my experience too, and they both wanted a tip.....55
