I've had nice lamb shanks in Thailand. Meat that just melts in your mouth... don't think I have ever tried beef there...
I was in a taxi to airport in Bangkok

Saw like 3 lambs running down the street in the middle of Bangkok

They escaped and were making a run for it 5555

Artisan Burgers Soi 11 👍

Some negative reviews. Me and my friend were pretty happy.

El Jeffe for me, Pork Yeah for her. 295 each.
That Soho Pizza next to the burger place

I went when they 1st opened and it was actually decent

Went back last year and was just awful

But that whole complex with the places in the back as well are a good edition to 11

My only issue is the pricing
Soi 11 has a ton of young farang

And this generation now of 20-30yr olds that were teens or in University with Uber eats seem to don't give a shit what anything costs

I haven't ventured in there. Saw the Indian restaurant and thought nah. Got a mate back home who owns one and to be honest, he's the shit when it comes to Indian food.

Yeah, I agree about the Uber gen set. They spoil it for us penny pinching Boomers 😄

I'm a big fan of Lilly Fu's on soi 11...

great food...modern Thai pan asian fusion, a nice ambience sitting out on the patio bang on soi 11 watching the passing parade and has a DJ spinning mixed up old school/rare groove/dancey soul...

I often kick off my night there around 8.30pm then head off to Havana Social and/or Above 11 before dropping back down to Oskars to finish...11 is still my fave party soi in BKK

Was this something else before?

I've eaten here before can't remember what I are

Oskar's is jammed packed every single time I walk by it to think to stop in

So haven't been in about 7-8 years

Don't think so...the owner, a Thai woman was living in HK until she came back and opened Lilly Fu around 2 years ago...she also lived in Singapore...hence the pan asian menu

But as you say there were other restaurants there before it closed for the rebuild/refurb

edit: they had their soft openning on December the 8th 2021...just looked in my phone diary...I was taken there first about 2 weeks later by a dear TG friend...

Ao are I drank

I do remember thinking of how many young farang there were all over 11

Regardless of which restaurant I do like that patio a lot

Well @supersub knocked it out of the park with the Pala recommendation

Incredible place

Exactly like the places back home in Boston

I got the Marinara pizza because the Margherita looked too doughy and cheesy for me

It was phenomenal
And I wasn't hungry but wanted to try

I love the stand up expresso bar like in Italy

They had nice looking porchetta
Proper cold cuts

Loved it all

I'd have a crack (well crackle hopefully) on that panchetta...do they do good pasta as well or is it just pizza?

That Spanish Chorizo.. so hard to find in provincial NZ.
My first exposure to it was in Perth where the old lady selling it recited to me a recipe Chorizo and cannellini beans.. yumm
