They get pretty Thai gals to con you into meeting the time share grubs.
Im talking about the Farrang backpacker grubs who ride around yelling at you while you walk down St , trying to get your attention and go to the their presentation .

I haven't been bothered by timeshare touts for quite a few years , been approached by both Thai and Farang in Patong and Patts before , but not seen any about for ages

I've sat through two timeshare presentations (on rainy days).
Both years I scored a free weeks holiday which we actually used.
One was a poolside room on Beach rd plus breakfasts.

The trick is to keep nodding and saying "Yes" then at the crunch say "NO!" and demand tour prize.

I've never done it but I'd have no problem saying no when needed

A friend of mine got suckered in by one in Phuket a few years ago and I ended up going with him. Luckily he said no, but the guys peddling the timeshares were these rough and rugged English blokes who would probably have been small to medium level criminals back home before they moved to Thailand, and were quite intimidating. The frontmen were really professional and nice though. You sit down and watch these vidoes and all of a sudden a bunch of thugs enter the room to close. I can see how a lot of people would have problems saying no.
