$500 payback for University until he goes to culinary school

Now who knows if he follows through

We also talked about the fact he doesn't make that great of money and he only makes decent money because he works 55/60hrs a week

I explained to him having to pay me back if he doesn't go to culinary school because he never tried Physical Therapy
And I am not paying for him to have a 5 year holiday


And I spoke to him how we don't feel he appreciates how we've set him up

And that we only want him to do the right thing
That would show us he appreciates it

It is pretty middle class

I've only been involved in cases in provincial capitals. I would imagine Bangkok and Chiangmai are "rich villages" as well. They usually try it on for 50K and settle for 30. This can be affected by the perceived wealth of the conscript's parents, (or their perceived gullibility). There can be other minor costs, such as getting a medical exemption certificate. It also depends on the amiability of the "sussadee" (the local army bagman).
Most of the kids I know joined the cadet scheme at high school, which gives you a pass on the conscription.
