Thai Dreamers in Thailand

Finally making my first trip to Vietnam in Feb 2023. Have been wanting to go for years, but never got around to it. A mate is going over for two weeks so I thought that I may as well tag along. Plus an ex BM has been posting some rather tempting photo's on FB the last week or so.. And that kinda swung the deal.
Arrive in Hanoi on the 3rd March and will concentrate on the North, but will spend four days down in Hoi An and surrounds.
Leave on the 18th for Bangkok and 8 days in Pattaya for a little me time:D

Vietnam is good for sights, sounds, smells and Pho.

I'm glad you didn't bother with the south. The traitors are generic, mercenary and soulless, and you can feel it. Hanoi has all the charm and character and that's next on my hit list too.

Pattaya to top all that off? What a desert!

I did not like Saigon at all really

And hated Hue with a passion

Love Hanoi
One of my favorite cities in the world

I will be interested to hear your views on Vietnam. It’s a place I should probably visit for a change. Just had 3 days in Patts. It’s busier here now than 6 weeks ago and a lot of fella’s staying on over the Xmas period.

What I like about Vietnam is they don't do the fake "fawning" over you like they do so much in Thailand

They sort of just let you be
You can be the only foreigner in the place and not feel like you are the center of attention

I have been off the forum since I arrived in Vietnam. Close to the end of my trip and will be off to Pattaya on Saturday. I have enjoyed my visit immensely and already thinking of a return trip some time in the future. I will try to put together a small TR once I have some time.

Looking forward to reading it. Enjoy Pattaya mate.
I’m heading back to Thailand mid March for two months. Applying for a E visa this week.

My E visa came after 3 days this time. The London office seem quite efficient.
Flying to Bangkok this week direct with Thai air again for roughly the same price as my last trip(£840) return.
Staying for 8 weeks with the option of extending if I feel like it. I will be mainly in Bangkok but I will do a few trips here and there.
