Holy crap

Thailand was recently added to a list of countries that are visa free to enter Canada

To qualify you needed to have visited Canada on a visa in the last 10 years

Well I applied for my MIL tonight
The form took less than 5 mins to fill out
It was 7cad

And she was approved within 5mins

Now she has an eTA good for 5 years
She can come and go as she pleases to Canada for temporary visits

That's amazing

Was looking at this today. A$190 plus GFS fees for biometric data, plus a ton of paper work.
For the people that come in on work visa it is upward of 15k and 12 months processing. They say we have a staff shortage and trying to fix it, total BS

My mother in law can come and go as she pleases, that is amazing.

First man to ever say that? Perhapse... perhapse..
Ha
I'm truly lucky
I love my MIL
Now this will be 6 months

The longest she has stayed is 2 months
But I won't have an issue

I like the whole family

In December I have to go to Thailand to pick her up
And I will rent a villa for a few days and have them all down in Hua Hin

My wife will be back in Canada

Our PR was a lot of paperwork
I probably could have done it myself but ended up overpaying a lawyer

Definitely not worth the 12k
I have had to point out laws to him a few times

But the paperwork kid on our case was superb
