Yes... I spent a few evenings in My Bar and a couple of others by Pullman when we were here previously.I stayed at the Pullman there in Dec '19, which is right in the thick of it. Group of the usual bars focused on westerners, along with a Thai Disco that gets going after midnight. A very cheap night out compared to Phuket and Bangkok.
Good for stripping stubborn paint too I believeLao Kao. It is really like a very yuk home brewed spirit with little flavour.
Are you talking about direct flights to CM? coz there is from Udon Thani with Nok Air.Lol, looks like I forgot to finish this. Almost 18 months old.
Been back since then earlier this year and due to return in 10 days.
Sooo I might as well carry on here rather than start anew.
Short trip coming up this time which includes a trip north to see Howard and Noi again. This time we will meet in CM which reduces travel time by car to about 10hrs with comfort stops rather than 10.5hrs without stops to Mae Sai.
The plan is for 3 days in CM and an overnighter on the way home. There's a few things I saw on the last trip that I would like to stop at and 'have a jack' as we say here.
Thought about flying the girls down to BKK and us all onto CM. For the life of me I don't know why there aren't direct flights from KK, it seems everything has to go via BKK. Time wise it is a lot quicker but 27k baht for the 3 of us.. nah.
I'm going to spend two nights in BKK before heading to KK. There's something I need to get out of my system lol.
Yes. Udon is 3hrs from home, say 1hr flying each way and 3hr return drive. Say add another 2hrs for comfort stops... sort of makes sense time wise considering driving to CM would be around 20+hrs return. Are you talking about direct flights to CM? coz there is from Udon Thani with Nok Air.
Not KK though of course but not too far away.
My sweetheart Yim(who I want my stepson to marry) is a Thai Airways hostessThe FA who was taking care of our side originally was.. lo and behold, Pachara. The same FA from my return trip earlier this year. That was a bonus. This time I got to see her without the face mask, she is truly beautiful. Eyes that only a Thai woman has, some of you may know what I'm talkin about.
We had a catch up, she asked how the family is and how is our daughter. I was very surprised she remembered, amazing.
I asked how things were going for her, part time relationship with a nice Thai chap is still on. Marriage? I asked. They're talking about it
She continued to come see if I was comfort and was there anything she could do just let her know.
My imagination running rampant with visions of her sitting on my face. Oh yeah.
Plenty of bubbles delivered but that didn't help much. She has a nice bum to admire as well![]()
11:30am is a great landing timeTransit in Changi was a breeze. Terminal 3 arrival, 2 on departure.
Didn't bother with the SIA lounge, packed to the gunnels.
Went over to Terminal 2 and had a beer and Brisket Pho. Both were good, NZ$30.. woo.
Trip to BKK sweet as. Arrival at 11:30am after doing circles in the sky for some reason.
Through Immigration etc in 10 minutes. Holy shit.
Downstairs to the Airport Link and at Solitaire in under 2hrs has to be a world record.
Guess what, dumbass fucked up his reservation 55. I'm a day early.
It's OK, they have 1 room available, phew.
1st night in 218, small, no window, who cares.
Catch up on some sleep and look forward to my 5pm appointment at....
Oh come on mate... lolMy sweetheart Yim(who I want my stepson to marry) is a Thai Airways hostess
I don't want you dudes(and me before) perving on them.![]()
Our departure was 1:20am. I prefer this as I usually sleep well on the way over. Not this time though.11:30am is a great landing time
Our flights always seem to get in at 9-10pm
But in a way I love that.
We are under the gun to get SSS and get out
With an OCD wife and an even more OCD mother-in-law there is never latenessMy plan originally was to fly KKC to CNX but you couldn't fly direct, only via BKK @ 16k. Fuck that.
Moo suggested flying from Udon direct which was a good idea but, there were a couple of places I wanted to revisit from our last trip north so we ended up driving.
Google Maps said the trip was 577km at 8.45hrs. Add another hour for rest stops, food etc might as well say 10hrs.
Sooo... plan laid down with the Mrs. We leave at 6:00am ok mai?
Bags packed, car loaded, check oil, tyre pressure etc.
Well the next morning was like trying to herd cats. Oh we need to do this, oh, I have to go market for mum....
7:40 we finally got away lol. You gotta be patient.
There's a family in the hills on the way over to Petchabun that have a hydro garden setup that I wanted to drop in on again. Did that. Then further on there's a river runs for a little distance beside the road on Highway 12 and there's some rapids and pools. Me and Phaeya jumped in for a swim. The locals thought we were nuts. To cold they said, I thought it was quite temperate.
