Lucky you did not keep entirely to the 10 year plan. It would have been so much more costly. 5555

Wrong area to reform and as said easy target.

Hey I had a thought...yea. I do occasionally and it is probably stupid 555

But... with the Coup in Thailand would a TG be able to claim political asylum??? to live here.
If they could it would negate the visa fee, the processing time , the 1yr together time requirement and they get all sorts of assistance.

I know its way out there but?????

Ok so what is the difference between a "Provisional and Permanent partner visas" & a "Temporary and Permanent partner visas" as there is a $2200 difference between the 2. To me Provisional & Temporary in a relationship means just about the same thing.

^^^ that is quite unbelievable how much that has gone up Rivo ..... and would hinder some Aussies trying to get there TG here for sure...

An example of just how much it has gone up ..

$ 850.00 = 2010 i sent JK 25,000 baht for her Subclass 300 (Prospective Marriage) , she had to pay in BKK because this visa has to be applied for out of Australia

$ 1020.00 = 2011 (Oct) we paid for the Subclass 801/820 ( Partner Visa and PR visa) a month after we got married

So a total of $ 1870.00, less than 4 years later these same visas now cost $ 11,495.00 ..... what is that more than 500% increase ?

Not even sure at 12 grand if i would have started down this road tbh

^^ no worries i have already told her .... 3 times already this morning.. will probably rub it in for a few more days yet ...5555

to put a timeline on my sentence so anyone reading understands... down that road meaning those first few days i spent on Thai Love Links, knowing this was going to cost me 12 grand ... 5555

Still a bit cold i know, you can't put a price on love right ?

How can the government justify such a massive price increase in just a few short years?

555555 a $1000 is my top price !!

I think they have hiked the prices for 3 reasons ....

1. To slow the immigration numbers down ... for most visas this will have little effect, for the marriage visas in our spectrum it might actually work

2. The governments deficit is to high and they need to line the coffers were ever they can

3. They are so far behind atm in processing times for visa's, so they will use the increase in prices to say they need to increase staff to get the processing times under control ... also we do live in a heightened security era, overseas checks are no doubt more labour intensified .... some increase in costs could well be justified

Not sure about 500% but for a check on a TG from Issan ...555

The only thing necessary for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing.

Governments will slowly justify everything if you don't stand up to them.

provisional

adjective: arranged or existing for the present, possibly to be changed later.
"a provisional government"

TEMPORARY. That which is to last for a limited time; as, a temporary statute, or one which is limited in its operation for a particular period of time after its enactment the opposite of perpetual.

From this you would deduce that Temporary is for specified term and Provisional is non permanent but for a unspecified period.

Total rip-off! Just how do they qualify the incredible rise in fees? Just what is it the government does to increase those fees by so much? I can understand there is a cost to process certain documentation, but this is ridiculous.

It's not so much the Government but the bureaucracy behind the Elected Members.

These people sit around coming up with ideas to justify their position and continued existence.

But, they are all one and the same. I worked for bureaucracy for over 40 years before retiring. I know how they work. The same can be said for most unions today. And, most certainly all organized religions... pick one. All are self serving.
