I am amazed to see London Heathrow in the top ten. I always thought of it to be an over sized mess.

Problem with these large surveys (12.1 million survey questionnaires completed by 108 different nationalities), is that the results get biased towards the large transit airports (since more people know these).. 55

Swampy is ranked 38th; it doesn't even make the top ten in Asia. It was 25th overall last year.

But who cares..... people don't visit a country for its airports. The less time I spend in them the better. The LCCT at Subang near KL in Malaysia is just fine as far as I'm concerned. I like the walk to and from the plane.

^ Yet Swampy is the most 'Instagramed' place in the world 555 As someone who works at an Airport, I think Swampy is quite well designed, well airside anyway 555

Compared to most English airports... any airport seems good. Sardines and delays come to mind...

Ditto. I think it's the only airport I've shed tears in on leaving.

Wow, Vancouver (YVR) got number 8. Busy airport, since its the feeder airport into Canada from flights originating in Asia. The only thing I don't like about it is that they do not have any smoking rooms. You take that last smoke outside, then go cold turkey until you finally reach your destination ... or at least the transfer point on your journey. To me that's typical Canadian overkill. I think one thing that really raises its stock is the Skytrain link that you can catch from directly outside the doors of the airport, that wisks you right into the downtown core.

Shanghai's Pudong is ranked #59, which means I never want to travel to any airport ranked lower then that, since Pudong was the worst airport experience of my life!! 555

BKK is one of my favorite airports for one so large. Not sure why it is ranked so low down the list.

Shanghai (PVG) has had a number of instances of passengers rioting at the airport, it is that bad!
